Hamilton County Public Health, along with a dozen other regional health departments, has collaborated to launch the Southwest Ohio Datahub—a dynamic new website providing easy access to population health data, evidence-based practices, and local health resources across eight Southwest Ohio counties.
Available at swohdh.org, the Datahub serves as a vital tool for local leaders, healthcare providers, researchers, educators and community advocates in Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren Counties. It offers an extensive collection of health and quality-of-life data from more than 20 trusted sources, including the American Community Survey, CDC, CMS, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the Ohio Department of Health.
Chris Balster, MPH, REHS, assistant health commissioner for Warren County Health District, explains:
“The new Southwest Ohio Datahub is the result of a multi-agency collaboration to provide up-to-date, accessible health data to the public. It delivers key insights and trends and allows communities to measure their progress against regional health goals.”
Features of the Southwest Ohio Datahub include:
- Over 200 health and quality-of-life indicators to explore
- Interactive maps and data visualizations with customizable reports
- Zip-code level socioeconomic need maps
- A searchable database of more than 2,000 evidence-based programs and practices
- County-specific pages featuring local data, priorities, and health improvement strategies
- Tools to track progress toward Healthy People 2030 and other county health goals
