
From preventing disease to strengthening neighborhood partnerships, Hamilton County Public Health hit all the high notes this year. As we look back on the moments, milestones and metrics that shaped our work, here’s a snapshot of how our team protected, supported and uplifted the health of our community from Jan. 1 through Nov. 1, 2025.
• Protecting local waterways: We conducted 11,468 inspections of household sewage treatment systems across the county to help keep our environment clean and residents free from waterborne illness.
• Supporting families and milestones: Our vital records team issued 11,005 birth certificates, celebrating new beginnings and opportunities for Hamilton County residents of all ages.
• Sharing hope in recovery and support: Our harm reduction programs distributed 14,380 doses of naloxone (Narcan) and 110,578 fentanyl test strips, giving residents life-saving tools and critical information to help prevent overdose.
• Keeping food services safe countywide: Our environmental health division completed 7,304 food inspections at restaurants, food trucks, and festivals, collaborating with food-service managers to ensure and promote food safety.
• Caring for community health needs: Our clinical staff served 2,183 patients, providing testing, treatment and support to help residents stay healthy and informed.
• Empowering healthier, safer communities: Our health promotion and education staff supported 47 WeTHRIVE! teams across neighborhoods, schools and childcare centers to help drive meaningful, community-led health improvements.
• Making homes safer: 32 homes became healthier this year through our lead hazard reduction efforts, giving families the opportunity to breathe freely for years to come.
• Putting family health within reach: The Maternal and Infant Vitality Initiative connected 280 women to essential health care and social services.
• Strengthening emergency readiness: Our emergency preparedness team led or participated in 23 trainings and exercises, ensuring our response plans stay sharp when it’s time to act.
