Hamilton County, OH – As we celebrate the accomplishments of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday, January 18, Hamilton County Public Health reminds citizens to do so safely.
“COVID-19 is still very much with us,” says Hamilton County Health Commissioner Greg Kesterman. “As we saw this week, Hamilton County was designated as ‘purple,’ meaning that the virus is spreading at a high level throughout the County.”
Safe practices for participating in the various activities scheduled for honoring Dr. King’s vision include:
• Wearing a facemask
• Keeping at least six feet of distance between participants
• Washing hands and/or using hand sanitizer frequently
• Stay home when sick.
“One of the best ways we can honor Dr. King is to do so safely,” Kesterman adds. “Take a couple of minutes before you participate in activities to plan for using the safety measures we’ve been talking about since the beginning of the pandemic. We’d like everyone to be here next year to honor Dr. King again.”
