HAMILTON COUNTY, OHIO – Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) sanitarian Adam Lengerich was recognized by the Southwest Ohio Environmental Health Association as Sanitarian of the Year. He is a resident of Anderson Township.
Lengerich, a nine-year veteran in the HCPH Environmental Health division, is a generalist working in food service, nuisance and housing, mobile home parks, campgrounds, swimming pools, schools and public accommodation facilities. He was recognized for his efforts in team building as he often goes above and beyond the call of duty. He regularly leads training for food service operators throughout the region and is relied upon for helping his teammates work through often-complicated rules and regulations governing the industries he serves. He has also been instrumental in the agency’s rabies program and is always available for extra assignments to handle the many deadlines incumbent on his team.
“Adam is a tremendous asset to our Environmental Health team,” says Greg Kesterman, health commissioner. “He practices our agency model of education over enforcement, working closely with our licensees and operators to maintain safe and healthy environments.”
