The Ask
To get representation from across the county, student surveyors are needed to assist HCPH staff in attending various community events aimed at soliciting participation. HCPH is seeking up to five individuals to assist with survey data collection from approximately 6/15/2024 – 8/31/2024
as part of the 2024 Community Health Assessment (CHA) process.
Responsibilities include:
-Attendance at an in-person kick-off meeting/training with HCPH staff.
-Attendance at community events as assigned, including evenings and weekends. May include holidays (e.g., Juneteenth, Independence Day).
-Engaging with community members at events to complete the survey. This includes, but is not limited to introducing yourself, providing a brief overview of the survey purpose, answering questions as needed, data collection, and follow-up communication. Data entry as needed.
-Completing a summary report for each event and submitting it to HCPH. A summary report template is provided.
-Attendance at weekly/bi-weekly/monthly meetings with HCPH team regarding the survey process, event scheduling, etc. Frequency may vary month-to-month and will be determined in partnership with contracted surveyors.
-Attendance at a close out meeting with HCPH staff.
-Submitting invoices and required documentation monthly.
Qualified candidates have/are:
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
-18 years of age or older
-Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
-Experience with data collection tools and processes (preferred)
-Bilingual in Spanish and/or French (preferred)
-Experience with diverse populations (preferred)
Compensation
Up to $5,000 stipend for completion of deliverables.
